I am from Pensacola, Fla., and transferred to Louisiana State University to study Public Relations and Business. I have a particular interest in books, art, and film. I love a good story. I also love being a part of making that story come to life, whether through film, photographs, writing, painting or music. I've always had a creative hand and an easy-going way of expressing myself to the world. I interact with the world through various platforms, both on and offline.
At an early age, I developed a very beneficial habit of observation. When observing others, I picked up a few things that have shaped my goals, personality and communication skills. I find that when speaking to others, you obtain a rather cultured, more open-minded approach to every day life, an outlook that has undoubtedly helped me in the communications field.
In highschool, I took part in the Multimedia Academy. My responsibilities included: distributing a live news cast every morning, gathering/editing footage from events to broadcast, conducting interviews, and putting together a thirty-minute senior video to commemorate four-years with an incredible class! I was HOOKED on video edits after witnessing how extraordinary it felt to share them with others.
After graduating in December 2015, I continued work at a local talent agency, working alongside Brenda Netzberger, owner of Open Range Management, to submit actors, communicate with casting directors and maintain overall order in the agency. I was ready to challenge myself more and move forward in a new path. I moved my belongings back to the beach and made some plans! BUT FIRST - I took off for a few weeks on a road trip with some friends while making the transition back to my hometown! Starting from Pensacola, we made our way through Austin, Sedona, Vegas, California and Alaska - it was the BEST experience I could have given myself and the perfect time in my life to pursue these interests!
After making my way up the east coast shortly after, I received a surprising job offer at a local photography studio that conducted an extremely different business model for its field by running an associate program! I was responsible for client relations, social media, marketing, and branding assistance.
My BIGGEST take-away from this job (there are SO many) was having such a massive role in the launch of a sister brand and experiencing - firsthand - what it takes to succeed in starting almost from scratch, with a new audience, new target, new content, and new social media presence. I was responsible for the brand's social media presence, client outreach, creating content and collaborating for ideas in order to maintain brand consistency.
I work very hard to establish myself as a creative individual among other creative individuals. I think this concept is immensely under-rated. In reflection of my personality and strengths, I find that I often push myself to accomplish what I believe will make me a happier, stronger and more cultured human being. Therefore, I want to use that motivation to achieve great things- duh!
I am an ambitious woman that treasures my independence, seeks opportunity, and believes my potential relies solely on how hard I am willing to work to achieve my goals.
My strength comes from my open mind. As our society is evolving, we must also grow and evolve. Therefore, I choose to keep an open mind about what I can learn, how much I can do, and who I can be. I want to give myself the chance to improve my communication skills and better myself as an individual, as well as a professional. Moving forward and furthering my career in this field, I am looking for a position that offers a challenge to my skills as an effective communicator, an opportunity for growth, longevity, and creative freedom to express ideas both individually and amongst a team, working together for a common goal as representatives and piers.
